Sopita Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of the game Sopita: Sopa de Letras (the "app"), published on Google Play by Nettle Studios, an independent studio based in Colombia ("Nettle", "we" or "us"). By using the app you accept these terms and the privacy policy (https://nettle.almostastudio.com/sopita/privacy). The app is in Spanish; this English version is provided for convenience and has the same content as the Spanish one.
1. Who can play
Sopita is designed for adults. Anyone may play; anyone under the age of majority needs an adult's permission to make purchases.
2. Progress and data
There are no accounts and no sign-up. Your progress, coins, hints and styles are stored on your phone and, if you have it turned on, in your Google backup. If you uninstall the app or lose your phone without that backup, the progress is lost and Nettle cannot recover it, because Nettle does not have it. What the app sends and how to turn it off is explained in the privacy policy.
3. Acceptable use
You may not modify the app, automate play, exploit bugs to obtain coins or purchases, or try to access parts of the game by means other than those intended. If you find a bug, we would be grateful if you wrote to us (section 10).
4. Purchases and virtual goods
- Coins, hints, styles and the other goods in the game are a license to use within the app: they have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- Purchases with money are processed by Google Play, with prices in your country's currency and taxes included. Refunds are governed by Google Play's policies; you can also write to us (section 10).
- Offers state how long they last, and that time is real. The welcome pack and the first coin purchase bonus are offered only once per player.
- No purchase gives an advantage on the board: boards and words are the same for everyone, and nothing is bought at random.
- "Remove ads" removes the ads between levels for good on that Google Play account and can be restored from Ajustes → Restaurar compras (Settings → Restore purchases); the videos that give coins remain available for anyone who wants to watch them.
5. Ads
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Rewarded videos are always optional. Ads are limited to content suitable for all audiences; if you see an inappropriate one, write to us.
6. Availability and changes to the game
The app can be played offline. We may add, change or fix levels, words and features in updates; when a published level changes, the player's progress is kept. We may stop updating the app, and in that case it will keep working on your phone with what it has.
7. Intellectual property
The Sopita name, art, music, sounds, texts and code belong to Nettle or are used under license. Definitions come from es.wiktionary.org, under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license, and from Nettle; the Bitter, Nunito and Source Sans 3 typefaces are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
8. Liability
The app is provided as is. We do our best to make it work well and to protect your progress, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors. Nothing here limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived.
9. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of Colombia, without affecting the consumer protections of your country that cannot be waived. If we change them, we will publish the new version at this address with its date and the change explained below.
